We’ve been working hard on Flickchart on our nights and weekends as a two-man show over the past few years to add new features, new movies, maintain servers, and answer all of your awesome questions, suggestions, and feedback. While we try to accomplish everything at once as fast as possible, it’s certainly a challenge for just two people to juggle it all.
With that in mind, we’ve brought on a new recruit for Flickchart who will be on hand to help us, now in a more official capacity. Hope Thompson will be assisting us to provide answers to your feedback on GetSatisfaction, joining in on our discussions on Twitter & Facebook, answering emails, helping to approve all of your movie submissions, and working behind-the-scenes with various elements of the site. Please wish her a warm welcome – we’re glad to have her on-board!
You can find her on Twitter as @HungryTyger, via email at hope@flickchart.com, and of course, on Flickchart at http://www.flickchart.com/HungryTyger.
We’ve also been working internally on ways to speed up our process of approving films, so instead of the weekly batches of new movies, you’ll now see new movies approved daily, or as close to daily as we can! As before, you’ll be able to go to “The Most Recently Added Films” page and see anything that’s newly ready to rank at any time! We won’t be announcing new additions here, or on Twitter or Facebook, so keep checking back to see what’s new!
In addition to all that, we have another new feature that’s nearly complete! We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but let’s just say it will be a great new way to get movies right into the position they should be in. Stay tuned!
We’d like to get some well-written feedback about Flickchart from some of our current beta testers, and for those of you who aren’t in the beta quite yet – here’s a chance for you to get in on the action immediately:
If you’re already a member of the Flickchart beta and you’re interested in writing up an article about us, submit your URL to the article/blog post to inquiries@flickchart.com, and you’ll receive 10 free invites to send to your friends and let them in on the fun.
If you are a blogger or reviewer and you aren’t in the beta yet, you can also email us at inquiries@flickchart.com and tell us a little about yourself and the blog/website where you’ll be posting. Once we review your inquiry, you’ll receive a personal invite from us, and for each article link submitted, we’ll send you 10 free invites as well.
Thanks, and looking forward to reading your thoughts about Flickchart!
