We’d like to get some well-written feedback about Flickchart from some of our current beta testers, and for those of you who aren’t in the beta quite yet – here’s a chance for you to get in on the action immediately:
If you’re already a member of the Flickchart beta and you’re interested in writing up an article about us, submit your URL to the article/blog post to inquiries@flickchart.com, and you’ll receive 10 free invites to send to your friends and let them in on the fun.
If you are a blogger or reviewer and you aren’t in the beta yet, you can also email us at inquiries@flickchart.com and tell us a little about yourself and the blog/website where you’ll be posting. Once we review your inquiry, you’ll receive a personal invite from us, and for each article link submitted, we’ll send you 10 free invites as well.
Thanks, and looking forward to reading your thoughts about Flickchart!
Build 2: New Updates, Features, & Bugfixes
10, Jul 2008by Nathan Chase
We just pushed up some new code to take care of a few requested features and fixes:
BUGFIX: Adding Friends now works correctly. You can go to any user’s profile page and add them as a friend. They’ll receive an alert on their profile telling them about your request, which they can approve or delete.
> on Get Satisfaction: I get an internal server error when adding people as friends
UPDATE: Posters Stick When Choosing “Haven’t Seen” – while many of you have been enjoying the new “Haven’t Seen” functionality while ranking, the “seen” movies were sometimes moving from side to side or changing posters. This is now fixed by keeping the poster of the seen movie on the same side and only replacing the unseen movie.
> on Get Satisfaction: Do not randomly place movies when clicking “Haven’t seen it”
FEATURE: A New Look For Discussions! – We’ve simplified the sometimes confusing 2-column matchup comments and consolidated everything into a single column. We still show which movie a commenter prefers, as well as their agreements and disagreements in a more streamlined way. Your feedback on this new look is welcome as we continue to refine the experience of debating classic movie matchups.
