As a longtime Deep Space Nine fan I have to say I would have been disappointed if Paramount hadn’t seen fit to once again emphasize that it is the redheaded stepchild of the Star Trek family. That’s okay, though. We Niner fans are used to it, and it only promotes solidarity among the seventeen of us that exist in the world who recognize that series as the crowning achievement in Trek storytelling.
DS9 will be on instant watch in October.
